Nirvana

Niè pán is written 涅槃. In Buddhist thought, the term refers to liberation from suffering and the cycle of rebirth. It does not itself mean being born again.

“Nirvana” is the established English form of the same Buddhist term. In modern metaphorical use, 涅槃 can also evoke profound change or renewal; that symbolic reading is distinct from its religious meaning.

Carried on the body, the work can invite reflection on what one is ready to release or begin anew, without claiming a spiritual state.

The work reads from top to bottom, with 涅 above 槃. Preserve both characters and their upright, readable direction; do not mirror or rearrange the final tattoo.
