Bokwai operates this website and its digital artwork services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse our store, purchase artwork, request a commission, subscribe to emails, or contact us.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, order and transaction details, customer account details if you create an account, and messages you send us. For a commission, this may include names, dates, personal stories, artistic preferences, intended uses, and reference materials you choose to share.
Shopify and our service providers may also collect device, browser, IP address, and website usage information through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
We use this information to operate the store; process and deliver orders; develop commissioned artwork; respond to questions; provide support; maintain security; and meet legal obligations. If you subscribe to Ink Form Studio Notes, we use your email to send those updates. You can unsubscribe through any marketing email. Order-related messages may still be sent after you unsubscribe.
Where a legal basis is required, we process information as necessary to fulfil a contract, with your consent, for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the store, or to meet legal obligations, as applicable.
Editor drafts
The Personal Artwork editor may save unfinished answers locally in your browser so you can continue later. You can remove them using “Clear saved answers.” Drafts older than seven days are not restored. When you place an order, the brief you submit becomes part of your order information and is used to create and deliver your work.
Shopify, PayPal, and other recipients
Our store is hosted by Shopify. We share information with Shopify and service providers where needed to run the store, deliver digital files, send emails, provide support, and protect transactions. Payments are currently processed through PayPal. PayPal handles payment information under its own Privacy Statement; Bokwai receives the transaction details needed to fulfil and support your order.

Cookies, retention, and security
Cookies and similar technologies help the store function and may support analytics or personalized services, subject to applicable privacy choices. We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide our services, maintain order records, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no online service is completely secure.
