Fearless

Wúwèi is written 无畏. 无 means “without,” and 畏 means “fear” or “dread.” Together, the characters express being fearless or undaunted when facing something difficult.

“Fearless” is a direct, natural English rendering. Here, the word need not claim that a person never feels fear; it can speak to moving forward without letting fear decide every step. 无畏 (Wúwèi) is different from 无为 (Wúwéi), another Chinese expression.

Carried on the body, the work can recall a particular act of courage or a willingness to face what comes next.

The work reads from top to bottom, with 无 above 畏. Preserve both characters and their upright, readable direction in the final tattoo; do not mirror or substitute them.
